How to Determine Your Class
To find the correct freight class for your shipment:
- Package the attachment on lift-truck skids or pallets as required; band, block, and crib the mounting ears, and cover teeth or cutting edges. Cap hydraulic ports and drain residual fluids if applicable.
- Cite Note, item 114218 on your BOL and documentation to confirm the item description applies to tractor or truck backhoe attachments shipped on skids or pallets.
- Measure the full footprint including couplers, ears, and brackets. Provide example specs to carriers (e.g., 84 x 48 x 42 in, 1,250 lb) and indicate center of gravity and forklift tine clearance.
- Mark non‑stackable if the frame cannot bear top load. Use a top frame or corner posts only if the unit is engineered to stack safely.
