NMFC 114240 Grabber Arms Side-Mount | Class 175

Note 114241: NOTE-Applies on side-mounting attachments for waste management vehicles consisting of a grabbing mechanism, lifting arm and necessary mounting hardware designed to lift waste receptacles and load their contents into the vehicle.

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Crate or palletize the grabber arms as a packaged unit; block the yokes and clamp jaws so they cannot swing, and band with steel strapping plus edge protectors.
2. Cap hydraulic ports and plug cylinders if included; bag hoses, pins, and fasteners in a labeled accessory pack secured to the skid to prevent loss.
3. Nest arms inward to stay within trailer width and stabilize the center of gravity; use cribbing so painted or plated surfaces do not rub during transit.
4. Reference Note item 114241 to confirm side-mount applicability, and print “NMFC 114240, Class 175, packages” on the BOL for faster rating and fewer reclass issues.
