To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Bundle loose bars with steel strapping over wood dunnage, or place packaged bars on skids with forklift clearance for safe LTL handling.
2. Add edge protectors and cap sharp bar ends; this reduces strap cuts, carrier damage claims, and handling injuries during cross-dock moves.
3. Mark bundles with count, length, and “Log Turner Bars—Steel.” Show NMFC 114745, Class 70, and note “loose” or “packages” clearly on the BOL.
