NMFC 119100 - Crusher, Breaker or Grinder Parts | Class 55

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Put the exact description on the BOL: “Crusher, Breaker or Grinder Parts, coal, ore or stone, NOI — NMFC 119100, Class 55.” Do not rate by density.
2. Secure heavy wear parts with blocking and steel banding on hardwood skids; add edge protectors. Example: bolt manganese jaw plates to the skid with VCI wrap, crate loose bolts.
3. Distribute weight evenly and keep center of gravity low. For long shafts or screen frames, use two skids bridged with 2x4 cross-members to prevent flex and pallet failure.
4. Protect machined faces and liners with oil or caps, then shrink or poly wrap. Clean off stone/ore fines so carriers accept the freight and neighboring cargo stays clean.
