NMFC 119710 – Metal Baling Press Doors | Class 77.5

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. List on the BOL as “Doors, metal baling press, NMFC 119710, Class 77.5,” and note packaging as loose or packaged for accurate quotes and inspections.
2. For packaged freight, place doors on a sturdy pallet or skid, use corner/edge protectors, strap in at least four points, and wrap hinges or fittings with padding or VCI to prevent scuffing and corrosion.
3. If shipping loose, bundle doors together with banding and dunnage, then block and brace to the trailer or a custom skid so panels can’t slide, flex, or bite into adjacent freight.
4. Mark “Do Not Stack” on panels, keep forklift tine spacing wide to avoid bowing the door, and provide piece count and weight per door to help terminals plan safe handling.
