1. Confirm the item fits NMFC 124660: complete metal-washing or parts-washing machines, shipped clean and dry, without solvents or residues.
2. Choose packaging that matches the unit size: double-wall boxed with foam for benchtop washers, or bolted to a skid and fully crated for floor models.
3. Calculate density from shipment weight and exterior package volume (cubic feet) to select the correct density-based class per Item 170.
4. Reference Note, item 124661 on paperwork to clarify inclusions or exclusions (e.g., separate accessories vs. the machine) and prevent carrier reclass.
