To find the correct freight class for your shipment:
- List on the BOL as “NMFC 130610 Household Sewage Systems, see Note item 130611, Class 85” to prevent reclass and ensure carriers rate it as a complete system.
- Protect fragile and heavy mix: box and foam-cushion toilets, cap inlets/outlets, drain residual water from pumps, and block, band, and corner-protect steel aeration tanks.
- Consolidate components as one shipment: strap boxes, grinder unit, and motor to a single skid or into a crate; keep weight low on the pallet and mark Do Not Stack for large tanks.
- Plan accessorials early—liftgate, residential or jobsite delivery, and appointments—and provide accurate overall dims and weight for the system to speed up quoting.
