NMFC 130840 - Combing or Lapping Machines | Class 85-100

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Confirm the correct subclass that determines Class 85 or 100 for your machine type or condition, then include NMFC 130840 on the BOL.
2. Package the machine to prevent vibration damage to comb sets and lap rollers; use dense foam, bracing, and edge protectors inside the package.
3. Strap and stretch-wrap the packaged unit to a sturdy pallet, mark lift points and center of gravity, and keep fork openings accessible on two sides.
4. For mill deliveries or refurb shops, note access needs (dock, forklift, or liftgate) and attach photos of the packaged unit to speed carrier handling.
