To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. List the commodity as “Racks, firearm” on the BOL and note material (metal or metal/wood) and packaging type (loose or packages) to align with Class 150.
2. Unitize when possible: strap racks to a pallet with edge protectors, pad contact points with foam, and wrap with VCI paper for metal surfaces to prevent corrosion.
3. For long or wall-mount racks, use a custom skid or double runners, block and brace to control center of gravity, and cap exposed mounting brackets to avoid puncture claims.
