NMFC 165105 - Railway Car Truck Adapters | Class 50

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Select NMFC 165105, Class 50 on your BOL; no density needed, but include actual weight and dimensions for pricing and capacity planning.
2. Package iron/steel adapters in sturdy cartons or wood crates with foam or corrugated blocking; protect machined faces with caps and VCI wrap to prevent rust.
3. Unitize on a pallet: keep center of gravity low, band each package to the pallet, and add edge protectors so metal edges don’t cut straps.
4. Mark each package “Adapter, railway car truck, steel” and show piece count; avoid loose items and allow fork or pallet jack access on all sides.
