NMFC 170060 – Roofing Cement, NOI | Class 55

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Confirm the product fits NMFC 170060: roofing cement, NOI, not DOT-placarded. If solvents or flash point make it hazardous, use the proper hazardous listing instead.
2. Select containers allowed by the item: boxes with inner containers, drums, pails, or Package 2080. Seal lids/crimps firmly and consider liners or absorbent pads to prevent seepage.
3. Palletize for stability: interlock pails or cross-stack boxes, add a top layer pad, strap and stretch-wrap, and avoid pallet overhang to limit crushing or punctures.
4. On the BOL, state “Roofing Cement, NOI — NMFC 170060, Class 55,” list packaging type and count, and note Non-Hazardous to prevent hazmat fees or misrouting.
