To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Confirm the exact NMFC sub-item (170372, 170374, or 170376) that fits your product before quoting or tendering, and list that sub-item on the BOL rather than the header 170370.
2. Use rigid boxes or wooden crates with edge and corner protection; place slip sheets between aluminum surfaces to prevent rub marks, then secure with straps and stretch wrap on a pallet.
3. For long or thin panels, choose a pallet or crate that fully supports the length with internal bracing; avoid overhang and mark “Do Not Bend” to reduce handling damage.
4. Record piece count and maximum length on paperwork, add “No Stack” cones if the pack could buckle, and photograph the packed freight to support any claim needs.
