NMFC 170440 - Iron/Steel Shingles Boxed | Class 50

2. Protect sharp edges and finishes: use corner boards, VCI paper or film to combat rust, and place boxes/crates flat on a pallet before strapping and wrapping.
3. Unitize sensibly for site delivery: keep individual boxes manageable for hand-offloading, and design crates with forklift openings and interior blocking to stop shifting.
4. Control moisture and stacking: add desiccants under stretch wrap, top-cap pallets, and mark “Do Not Double Stack” if packaging cannot bear vertical load.
