NMFC 181830 - Tape for Hand Embossers | Class 85

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. List the item as “NMFC 181830 – Tape, metal or plastic, hand embossing tool, in boxes” on the BOL; density is not required for Class 85.
2. Prevent roll edge crush: add inner sleeves or dividers, fill voids with kraft or foam, and keep boxes snug so tape spools cannot unwind.
3. For metal tape, include a small desiccant and poly bagging to limit humidity exposure; for plastic tape, avoid heat above 120°F during transit.
4. Use sturdy 32–44 ECT cartons under ~40 lb; when palletizing, band or shrink-wrap tightly and top-load only with lightweight office goods.
