NMFC 194240 - Dried Apple Pomace | Class 55

Note 194242: NOTE-Containers must be so branded, labeled or marked as to plainly indicate that they contain dried apple pomace.

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. List the exact NMFC on the BOL: "Apple pomace, dried, NMFC 194240, Class 55, boxed" to lock the correct rating for LTL quotes and billing.
2. Use poly-lined corrugated boxes with tight closures; add inner liners or sealed bags inside boxes to prevent sifting and odor transfer.
3. Palletize on sturdy 4-way pallets with slip sheets, corner boards, and full stretch wrap; add a top sheet to protect from humidity and dust.
4. Keep material dry and separate from edible products; label pallets "Not Suitable For Human Consumption" and request no food-grade co-loading when quality control matters.
