NMFC 25500 – Boiler Arch & Sidewall Blocks | Class 50

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. List the item on the BOL as “Boiler Arches or Sidewall/Arch Blocks, iron and firebrick combined – NMFC 25500, Class 50” to prevent reclass and inspections.
2. Palletize or crate with the iron face down and cushion the firebrick surfaces using foam, corrugated pads, or honeycomb. Add edge protectors and steel/plastic banding.
3. Distribute weight evenly on a 4‑way pallet, block and brace to stop shifting, and apply Do Not Stack cones for fragile refractory surfaces.
4. Photo-document packing layers and label each unit with piece count and orientation arrows to reduce shortage and damage claims.
