To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Mark the BOL as “Reinforced concrete beams/channels/columns—NMFC 32020, Class 50” to prevent reclass and billing disputes.
2. Bundle members with timber dunnage and steel banding, and cradle long pieces on skids or pipe saddles to spread load and reduce point stress.
3. Plan loading with a spreader bar or wide-fork spacing; avoid lifting from a single point that can crack corners or spall edges.
4. Flag overlengths (e.g., 12–20 ft joists) before pickup to manage carrier overlength fees and ensure proper equipment instead of liftgate service.
