NMFC 38407 - Pool Enclosures, KD Flat | Class 150

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Quote and book as NMFC 38407, Class 150, with packaging marked as “packages” and note “KD flat” on the BOL. Example: pool enclosure kit, metal frame with plastic panels — KD flat.
2. Protect edges and corners of plastic panels with foam or honeycomb pads. Separate metal rails from plastic sheets with slip sheets to prevent abrasion during vibration.
3. Load longest frame members inboard on a sturdy pallet or crate to avoid overlength handling fees. Add a top frame and “Do Not Stack” cones to prevent crush damage.
4. Verify any NMFC note references (see Note, item 38408) for definition and packaging expectations, and include a detailed piece count/inventory to reduce OS&D disputes.
