To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Calculate density before quoting: weigh each box or crate, measure the final palletized footprint, and compute PCF to set the correct density class under Item 170.
2. Pack optics like lenses and exposure meters in double-wall cartons with custom foam, then overbox. For glass dry plates, store vertically with rigid dividers and corner protection.
3. Crate heavy or tall pieces such as film processors, photo booths, and projectors. Block and brace internally, add shock/tilt indicators, and keep the center of gravity low.
4. Bundle long items (stands, tripods) to prevent rolling; strap to a pallet and avoid teepee-stacking. If shipping self-developing film packs or projector variants, verify note items 39626/39629/39627 to avoid reclass.
