NMFC 55910 - Cotton Bolls on Stalks | Class 150

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Select the listed packaging: sturdy boxes for loose bolls or rigid crates for long stalks. Line interiors with kraft or poly to prevent lint snagging.
2. Bundle stalks with soft ties and cap cut ends. Add dividers or cardboard tubes so stems don’t crush during side pressure in LTL handling.
3. Palletize to footprint with no overhang, mark “Top Load Only” where appropriate, and use corner protection to resist compression on stacked freight.
