NMFC 60190: Tubular Sections, SU/KD Options | Class 85

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Specify SU vs. KD on the BOL and note if hoppers are included (hoppers must ship KD) to prevent reclass or inspection delays.
2. For SU sections, cap open ends, use cradle runners or V‑blocks, and strap to a skid to stop rolling during LTL handling.
3. Bundle KD tubular pieces and hopper panels tightly with banding and corner protectors; bag hardware and label mating parts for fast assembly.
4. Choose pallet lengths that match section spans; add anti-slip dunnage between curved surfaces to keep stacks stable through cross-dock transfers.
