Note 63037: NOTE-Electrical Cord sets 150 feet or more in length may be shipped on shipping reels.

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Bundle each cord set into tight coils or place longer lengths on lightweight reels; secure with cable ties so plugs and jackets don’t snag during LTL handling.
2. Cushion molded plugs and receptacles with bubble, corner guards, or trays; use sturdy cartons with dividers for multi-packs to prevent connector-to-connector impact.
3. For heavy-duty runs (e.g., 50 ft 12/3 outdoor cords), keep cartons under manageable weights and palletize in flat, even layers to avoid crushing and bending prongs.
4. On the BOL, describe as electric cord/cable sets including extension cords per Note 63042, and list counts, lengths, and gauges to speed carrier review.
