1. Apply NMFC 65160 at Class 125 for egg candlers or testers. Use boxes for handheld units; crate bench-top testers with solid internal blocking.
2. Cushion fragile bulbs, LED modules, and optics with dense foam or honeycomb. Bag and secure cords and spare lamps to prevent rubbing during transit.
3. Label cartons Fragile and This Side Up. For crates, add 4‑way entry skids and steel banding to resist tip-overs on docks and conveyors.
4. Ship only the equipment—no eggs or liquids. If a unit is battery-powered, remove loose batteries or follow carrier battery declaration rules.
