To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. List on the BOL as “Frames, sign, aluminum, tubular, KD, telescoped, in boxes,” and apply NMFC 76660, Class 85 for straightforward rating.
2. Nest tubular sections fully, cap open ends, wrap to prevent scuffing, and use dividers or corner guards inside heavy-duty boxes to control movement.
3. For long boxes, keep them centered on the pallet with zero overhang, add two perpendicular bands plus stretch wrap, and mark ‘Do Not Fork Through Sides.’
4. Ask your carrier about overlength accessorials if boxes exceed common thresholds (e.g., 8–12 ft), and label cartons with piece counts to support OS&D claims.
