To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. List on the BOL: Weeders, not wheeled, in packages, NMFC 8740, Class 77.5. Include carton count and mark non-hazardous.
2. Protect sharp ends: add blade/tine guards, cap ferrules, and wrap handles. Use dividers or sleeves inside double-wall cartons (e.g., 12 weeders per box).
3. Palletize snugly on 48x40 pallets with no overhang. Strap and stretch-wrap; add corner boards and UP arrows to prevent handle crush.
4. Avoid DIM charges and reclassification by using right-size cartons and eliminating empty space. Do not ship loose; keep units fully packaged.
