NMFC 88790 - Glue Base in Bags | Class 60

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Write the full item name and NMFC on the BOL: Glue base, oil cake meal, lime and soda ash, in bags, NMFC 88790, Class 60, non-hazardous.
2. Palletize bagged product on 40x48 pallets, brick-stack the sacks, use corner boards and stretch wrap, and add a moisture barrier top sheet to keep the lime blend dry.
3. Keep bags off the floor and away from humid areas; request a dry van and note Keep Dry to prevent clumping or caking from moisture exposure.
4. Inspect and re-bag any torn sacks to control dust from lime or soda ash; consider poly-lined kraft bags to minimize fines and protect adjacent freight.
