NMFC 104400 - Structural Bases | Class 50

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Quote and tender at Class 50 and cite NMFC 104400 Structural Bases on the BOL; no density detail needed for rating.
2. Unitize heavy, flat bases on solid pallets or skids; band through bolt holes, add edge protectors and top dunnage, then wrap to prevent plate shift.
3. For oversized base plates or frames, mark center of gravity and keep lift points clear; confirm forklift tine spacing or request a spreader bar when needed.
4. If shipping with small hardware, segregate bases in a dedicated crate or pallet to prevent loss and preserve the correct classification.
