NMFC 104600 - Structural Braces/Brackets 3/16+ | Class 50

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Use NMFC 104600 on the BOL: “Braces, Bracing, Brackets or Forms, NOI, structural, fabricated from material 3/16 inch or thicker, Class 50.”
2. Bundle heavy steel pieces with metal banding on wood skids or pallets; add edge guards and cap sharp corners to protect freight and handlers.
3. Keep lengths uniform when possible and block/brace to prevent roll or slide. Mark center of gravity and avoid pallet overhang to reduce damage.
4. Do not mix thinner gauges (<3/16 in) in the same NMFC line. Separate SKUs by thickness and note material (iron or steel) for receiving accuracy.
