To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Identify the commodity as iron/steel furring channels or wall studs (not ceiling suspension grids); print NMFC 105380 and Class 50 on the BOL.
2. For packages: band studs or channels into tight bundles with steel/poly strapping, add edge protectors, and rest on wood saddles or a pallet; e.g., 20 pcs x 12 ft, strapped in three places.
3. For loose lengths: load straight, block and brace with chocks, cap sharp ends, and keep overhang minimal; request long‑freight handling with your carrier.
4. Measure the longest piece; flag anything over 8–12 ft to plan for over‑length fees and choose carriers equipped for long LTL freight.
