1. List the commodity as “Hangers or Stirrups, joist, steel,” include NMFC 105520 and Class 50 on the BOL to prevent reclass fees.
2. Pack small galvanized hangers in rugged cartons with inner bags or dividers so flanges don’t interlock; then band cartons to a 40x48 pallet.
3. Orient sharp edges inward, add corner boards and a top sheet, and stretch wrap tightly to limit abrasion and loss during LTL cross-docks.
