2. Nest steps tread-to-tread with foam or corrugated pads, then band to a 48x48 pallet using at least two steel or poly straps; add edge protectors to riser lips.
3. If steps include wheels or tire assemblies, chock and wrap them to prevent rotation and protect axles; mark orientation arrows and “Do Not Tip.”
4. For service projects, consolidate multiple refurbished steps per pallet under 60 inches high to fit standard LTL profiles and reduce handling risk.
