NMFC 129660 - Pole Saws & Pruners Boxed | Class 150

Note 129661: NOTE-Applies on those articles named equipped with a cutting or hoeing head such as a chain saw, circular saw, cutting blade or pruning blade or shear.

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. State NMFC 129660 on the BOL and specify form: pole attached or detached, cutting/hoeing head only, or engine with drive shaft housing—always noted as boxed.
2. Pack in heavy-wall corrugated boxes; guard blades/chains, cap pole ends, and immobilize heads with foam or inserts to stop punctures and shifting.
3. Manage length to avoid surcharges: use telescoping poles or diagonal packing to keep cartons under common LTL thresholds for long freight.
4. Ship powered units dry and protected: no fuel or oil installed, pad trigger handles, wrap shafts, and bag spare heads or hardware inside the box.
