NMFC 134140 - Masks, Face Shields & Respirators | Class 200

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Confirm your shipment is boxed: cartons of masks, face shields, respirators, gas masks, or manual resuscitators all qualify under NMFC 134140 at Class 200.
2. List what’s inside each box on the BOL (e.g., 12 elastomeric respirators with replaceable filters). Filters installed or packaged separately are still covered.
3. Protect delicate components: bag face shields to prevent scratches and avoid compressing respirator valves. Use dividers or foam to keep items from shifting.
4. Skip density-based rating. Mark the BOL with “NMFC 134140, Class 200” and keep carton dimensions compact to avoid minimum cubic rule triggers with some carriers.
