To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. List the NMFC description on the BOL: “Mine Cases, empty, or Depth Charge Cases, without fittings” and apply Class 77.5.
2. Palletize securely: block and brace to prevent rolling, cross‑strap, cap openings, and use cardboard edge guards to avoid metal-to-strap abrasion.
3. Confirm they’re completely empty and inert; clean interiors and provide an “empty/inert” statement if your carrier requests documentation.
4. Nest hollow cases when possible to reduce cube, keep pallet height within LTL limits (generally under 96 in), and photograph the load before pickup.
