NMFC 154100 - Government-Stamped Postal Cards | Class 0

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Confirm the weight break: scale ticket must show 30,000 lb or more net freight (e.g., 34 skids × 900 lb = 30,600 lb). List NMFC 154100 and Note 153062 on the BOL.
2. Unitize tightly: band or stretch-wrap card bundles with cornerboards, then strap to 48x40 pallets. Mark each pallet “Government-Stamped Postal Cards” and keep labels outward facing.
3. Choose dry van equipment with moisture protection. Use load bars or air bags to prevent shift, and cap stack heights to avoid edge crush on lower bundles.
4. Maintain custody controls: record trailer seal numbers, require driver count, keep carton/pallet counts on the BOL, and restrict mixed freight in the same load.
