To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Enter NMFC 160140 with “dampers, vibration, transmission cable” on the BOL and use Class 60; no density-based classing needed.
2. Box dampers in double‑wall cartons, bag metal parts with VCI, fill voids, then palletize with corner boards and two bands for stable LTL handling.
3. If drum-packed, line with poly, secure the lid, and steel-band the drum to a 4‑way pallet to prevent rolling or tipping in transit.
4. For utility projects, kit by span or structure and label boxes with circuit or structure IDs; include piece count and total weight for faster receiving.
