To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Reference NMFC 172524, Class 200 on the BOL and note: “Theatrical Scenery/Props — Packaged; see NMFC Note item 172526.” Exclude costumes or live animals.
2. Use packaging that fits the piece: crate large flats and backdrops upright with corner blocking; double‑wall cartons with foam-in-place or Ethafoam for hand props; no loose items.
3. Palletize and secure with straps and edge protectors; add shock and tip indicators for fragile fiberglass, plaster, or foam builds; mark “Do Not Stack” only when necessary.
