NMFC 172570 - Plastic Fume/Gas Scrubbers | Class 200

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Choose packaging by size and fragility: crate large cyclonic or condensing bodies with internal bracing; double-wall box smaller plastic venturi sections to prevent shell deformation.
2. Secure every opening and attachment: cap inlets/outlets, bag gaskets, bolts, and gauges, and zip-tie loose fittings to the frame so nothing protrudes through the plastic walls.
3. Mark paperwork and pieces clearly: list NMFC 172570, Class 200, Non-Haz on the BOL; add orientation arrows and use corner protection. Example: for a venturi scrubber, wrap the throat and diffuser separately and brace them inside the crate.
4. Measure the overall footprint including flanges, nozzles, and guards. Class is fixed (not density-based), but accurate dimensions and weight still drive LTL pricing and avoid oversize fees.
