1. Note “Aluminum Tanks, NOI, KD — Class 85” on the BOL and list piece counts for shells, heads, and fittings to avoid reclass or inspection delays.
2. Palletize knocked-down components with edge protectors, banding, and stretch wrap; cap or tape over ports and flanges to prevent abrasion and fork damage.
3. Keep curved shells from rolling by cribbing with dunnage blocks and using chocks; mark Do Not Stack if arc or curvature makes stacking unstable.
4. Because the class is fixed at 85, still measure total pallet dimensions and weight for accurate LTL quotes and to optimize lane selection.
