NMFC 183800 - Belt Clamps, Hand | Class 85

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Protect clamp jaws and screws: add cardboard edge guards or foam blocks over gripping faces, then place each unit in a heavy-duty carton with void fill to stop movement.
2. Label the BOL precisely: write “Belt Clamps, Hand – NMFC 183800, Class 85.” Include piece count and note steel/alloy construction to help carriers verify the fixed class.
3. Palletize multiple cartons low and tight: use corner boards and stretch wrap; band if the clamps are dense. Keep handles and threaded rods fully enclosed to prevent punctures.
4. For service kits headed to field crews, ship in molded tool cases inside cartons. Example: two clamps per case, case bagged and cushioned, then boxed and palletized 40x48.
