To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Bundle sewer rods tightly or cartonize them; cap threaded ends and add sleeves to prevent puncture. Example: 3/8" steel rods coiled, shrink-wrapped, in a double-wall box.
2. Keep overall bundle length within your carrier’s overlength threshold. Class is fixed at 77.5, but extra-length fees can still apply if packages exceed limits.
3. Use edge protectors and two-direction strapping; unitize multiple packages on a small skid for easier handling and to avoid bent or kinked rods in transit.
4. If rods were used on-site, dry and bag before packing to prevent moisture stains or odors transferring to adjacent freight; label clearly as “Sewer Rods – Non-Hazardous.”
