NMFC 200160 - Steel Wool (NOI) in Boxes | Class 100

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Book and label as NMFC 200160, Class 100; note “steel wool (NOI) in boxes” on the BOL to avoid reclass delays.
2. Pack pads or rolls in corrugated cartons with a poly liner to contain fibers; choose double-wall boxes for heavier packs.
3. If product arrives bagged, overbox into corrugated cartons before LTL tender to align with the boxed packaging requirement.
4. Palletize cartons tight to a 48x40 pallet, add corner boards and stretch wrap, and avoid excessive top-load to minimize compression.
