NMFC 25720 - Aluminum Heat Exchanger Boilers | Class 85

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Choose crating or NMFC Package 2522 packing; immobilize the aluminum heat exchanger with foam or wood blocks and keep manifolds and controls within the frame.
2. Mark lifting points and center of gravity; apply Do Not Stack labels and tip/impact indicators to protect delicate exchanger tubes during LTL handling.
3. Drain any test water, cap all ports, and secure flue parts and wiring so nothing protrudes beyond the crate footprint; avoid steel bands contacting the exchanger.
4. On the BOL, list NMFC 25720, Class 85, and the packaging type (Crated or PKG 2522). Example: “NMFC 25720 – Class 85 – Package 2522.” Request liftgate or residential service if needed.
