NMFC 35750 - Steel Joist Braces | Class 50

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Describe precisely on the BOL: “Braces or Bridging, joist or stringer, steel, 20 gauge or thicker, nested solid, in packages — NMFC 35750, Class 50.”
2. Nest pieces tightly and strap bundles with steel or heavy poly banding; add edge protectors and end caps to prevent splaying or abrasion during LTL moves.
3. Use package-friendly bundles; palletize long bundles when possible for forklift handling, and keep bundle weight within your carrier’s limits for long freight (e.g., under 2,000 lb).
4. Do not mix loose or lighter‑gauge parts in the same bundle; keep all components nested solid to maintain Class 50 and avoid reclass charges.
