NMFC 36130 - Laundry or Trash Chutes | Class 200

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Print the BOL as: “Chutes, laundry, linen or trash, in packages, NMFC 36130, Class 200.” This phrasing prevents density reclass and inspection delays.
2. Package chute sections in cartons or crates with end caps and corner boards; bag fasteners and trim, and band the package to a pallet to stop flexing.
3. If sections nest, separate with foam or corrugated pads to avoid scuffing of galvanized or painted surfaces; ship access doors and elbows in their own boxes.
4. Class is fixed at 200, but list accurate pieces, dimensions, and weight so carriers plan cubic space, liftgate needs, and long-freight handling.
