NMFC 36155 - Ornamental Aluminum Columns | Class 77.5

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Verify the item fits: aluminum ornamental columns or posts with flat or L-shaped cross-sections, shipped in boxes; reference NMFC Note item 36157 if clarification is needed.
2. Select rigid cartons sized to length; reinforce ends and edges with foam or plastic angles, and cap both ends to prevent crush. Pack any mounting hardware in separate inner boxes.
3. Label the longest dimension and add “Do Not Bend.” For pieces over 96 inches, request an overlength quote; if multiple cartons wobble, unitize by strapping boxed pieces to a pallet.
4. On the BOL, use NMFC 36155, Class 77.5 and describe as “aluminum ornamental columns/posts, boxed,” including carton count and dimensions; photograph packaging before sealing for claims.
