NMFC 47750 – Imitation Cigarettes, Boxed | Class 100

Note 47751: NOTE-Applies only on products which resemble tobacco cigarettes, and are represented as providing the taste and effect of tobacco cigarettes, but are not designed to be burned.

To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. List NMFC 47750 and Class 100 on the BOL and use sturdy corrugated boxes with inner dividers to protect the hollow plastic tubes and nicotine plugs.
2. Palletize master cartons, keep them intact, and shrink-wrap tightly; density does not change the rating, so a 40-carton pallet still bills at Class 100.
3. Label cartons as “Imitation Cigarettes – Non‑Tobacco” to avoid excise or tobacco-handling confusion, and print piece counts per box for quick dock checks.
4. Verify scope against the Note for item 47751; if construction or contents differ (e.g., no nicotine plug or alternate materials), reconfirm the correct NMFC.
