How to Determine Your Class
To find the correct freight class for your shipment:
- Confirm class using the Note for item 58692; match the product form (powder, regulator, tonic) and the exact packaging you use (bags, pails, cartons).
- Protect from moisture and leakage: poly-line bags, seal inner liners, and use tight-lid pails to prevent sifting or drips during transit.
- Palletize for stability: brick-stack bagged product, add a top sheet, and apply full stretch wrap to contain fine particulates.
- Label clearly for feed/veterinary use with lot and expiration where applicable, and declare non-hazardous to streamline carrier acceptance.
Note: All classifications are subject to Item 170. Verify with official NMFC publications for the most current requirements.
