Note 59364: NOTE-Applies only on hand soap contained in freestanding bottle or container with integral pump. Does not apply on bathroom or lavatory fixtures.
How to Determine Your Class
To find the correct freight class for your shipment:
- Confirm product fit: hand soap in pump dispensing units packed in boxes (not bulk refills or sanitizer). See Note item 59364 for scope alignment.
- Determine PCF: use the outer-carton cube from your supplier spec or packing list and the actual box weight to calculate density for Item 170 classing.
- Prepare packaging for liquids: keep pumps upright, secure heads with tape or clips, use induction seals or foil liners, poly-bag each inner, and add orientation arrows.
- Palletize to prevent leaks and reclass: no overhang, use corner boards, stretch-wrap with a top sheet, avoid freezing temps, and list NMFC 59363 (non-haz) on the BOL.
