To find the correct freight class for your shipment:

1. Confirm your product is an edible good not otherwise named, then check related items 72002, 72004, 72005, 72007, and 72008 to ensure this group applies.
2. Detail contents on the BOL: e.g., “beverage preparation—non‑alcoholic syrup, 12 pails,” include net weights, condition (shelf‑stable or refrigerated), and any handling notes.
3. Use leak‑resistant, food‑safe packaging (sealed liners in pails, poly‑bagged powders, tight cartons). Add dividers for glass and stretch‑wrap with corner protection to prevent shifts.
4. Palletize uniformly and mark special care: Keep Dry, Do Not Freeze, or This Side Up. Photograph final loads to document condition and packing integrity.
